Business Management

Instruction is provided in both English and Turkish based on student preference. Students enrolling in the Turkish Business program may, optionally, attend the English Preparatory Class for one academic year to learn English as a foreign language for general and vocational use. Students enrolling in the English Business Management program are required to attend the English Preparatory Class for one academic year to learn general and vocational English. Exclusion from the English Preparatory Program is possible in the case of a student possessing an international English proficiency document approved by the directorate of the English Preparatory Department. The purpose of the Business Management program is to train intermediate personnel equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for meeting the needs of the global world and fulfilling the requirements of businesses needing a suitably qualified workforce. The aim is to train entrepreneurs able to initiate and also operate a business in their own name based on a shared understanding of business ethics;  intermediate personnel able to take responsibility in businesses as assistant managers; and middle-level managers who will support the management of the business administration by the efficient deployment of resources, time and the workforce, who know the fundamental concepts in the area of business administration, who use modern technology related to the business administration profession, have a mastery of the legislation appropriate to the profession and, who know their legal responsibilities. They must be familiar with the documents used in commercial life and equipped with information so as to be able to follow economic developments. In addition, they should be able to conduct research-development in their fields, either individually or as part of a team, and thus be able to help the management in the public transportation of business life.
