90% of our country’s international transport in tonnage is carried out through sea ways. On the other hand, logistics is a constantly improving sector in the world and our country. Today, manufacturers and consumers demand lower and more comprehensive intregrated services. Logistics requires that besides transport and storing, services such as foreign trade, customs, packaging and distribution are given in an integrated and simultaneous way. Therefore, sea administration needs logistics planning and logistics companies need specialized sea administrators. With the privatization of sea ports, the sea sector has gained a different dimension and has become dynamic.
The more competitive approach in the privatized ports and the new investments have brought along the need for specialized labor. “Sea and Port Administration Program” is a program designed to meet the need for experts who are both experienced in sea and supply chain logistics operations.
